Whether for economic development, social development or to keep abreast of changing times, many economies across the globe are now moving beyond basic Internet access and are aggressively promoting broadband, the high speed Internet access service. Spurred by the proliferation of service offerings such as online video and online gaming in recent years, consumers in mature Internet markets have also become more demanding when it comes to the speed of their Internet service.
